I am 5'4" and a size 14 and the old cut fit me very loosely (I still have them.) They have changed the cut, however, and while it still fits it's much tighter in the thighs, in the style of yoga pants. I'm still able to stretch and do everything I can in the others, I'm not worried about splitting a seam, but if you like that comfortable flowy fit this no longer has it. Maybe size up for that and be ready to hem. The fabric is still a good heavier weight, not very thin like some other pants I tried, and the straight leg is more flattering than the gathered varieties. I like the drawstring and the wide elastic it resides in -- no "bunchies." I mainly use these for Tai Chi and wearing around the house. I only wish they still had the deep charcoal grey they used to! The heathered fabric was a bit softer but not enough to make an issue out of.
